Es el momento de cruzar. . .

2 " Mi siervo Moisés ha muerto ; ahora , pues, levántate , cruza este Jordán, tú y todo este pueblo , a la tierra que yo les doy a ellos, a los hijos de Israel. 3 Cada lugar en el que la planta de vuestro pie, he dado a ti, tal como dije a Moisés . 4 Desde el desierto y el Líbano, incluso hasta el río grande, el río Eufrates, toda la tierra de los hititas, y hasta el gran mar hacia la puesta del sol será su territorio. 5 Nadie te podrá hacer frente en todos los días de tu vida. Así como yo he estado con Moisés, estaré contigo; Yo no te dejaré ni te abandonaré. 6 Esfuérzate y sé valiente, porque tú darás a este pueblo posesión de la tierra que juré a sus padres que les daría . 7 Solamente esfuérzate y sé muy valiente; [b ] para cuidar de hacer conforme a toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés te mandó; no te apartes de ella hacia la derecha o hacia la izquierda, de modo que es posible que [ c] tener éxito dondequiera que vayas . 8 Este libro de la ley no se apartará de tu boca, sino que meditarás en él día y noche, por lo que es posible que [ d] para cuidar de hacer conforme a todo lo que en él está escrito; porque entonces harás prosperar tu camino, y todo te saldrá [ e] tener éxito. 9 Mira que te mando que te Sé fuerte y valiente! No temas ni te acobardes , porque el SEÑOR tu Dios estará contigo en dondequiera que vayas " .
Josué 1 : 2-9

Al seguir la dirección de Dios en su vida, llegará un día en que uno mira hacia atrás en todas las obras IMPRESIONANTE Él ha hecho por y para usted con los años. Usted puede recordar la enfermedad que él curó. Usted puede recordar el de la crisis financiera que se convirtió en trampolines para bendiciones financieras. Usted puede recordar el miedo y la palabra que Él te ha dado donde está colgado en a para salvar su vida , . . . . y la fe que obró dentro de ti a través de él . Va a sonreír. Va a llorar. Y sólo puede. . . Es posible que sólo . . . Es posible que sólo quieren hacer lo que quería hacer hoy. . .

Una tienda de campaña y acampar, no moverse ni un milímetro hacia adelante o hacia atrás, y sólo " verduras. " En otras palabras. . . Yo no quería hacer frente a las nuevas batallas y problemas que enfrentan mí, justo en frente de mí.

Pero es el momento de cruzar. . .

En el pasaje, Dios está hablando a Josué, quien ahora es el líder del pueblo de Dios en el futuro. Detrás de él está el desierto y frente a él se encuentra el río embravecido Jordania. Detrás de él están todos los milagros que había visto a Dios trabaje a través de Moisés - que cruzan el Mar Rojo en tierra seca - ahogamiento ejército de Faraón en el Mar Rojo - pan enviando desde el cielo, el agua de una piedra y aves para carne. Había visto la columna de fuego por la noche y las nubes durante el día. QUÉ DIOS IMPRESIONANTE !
Pero ahora es un nuevo día. Se trata de un nuevo reto. Hay tierras ocupadas en las que puedan tener que luchar para tomar posesión. Y mira lo que Dios le ha dado para trabajar con! . . . un montón de?

No puedo decir los agricultores, ya que se han estado moviendo desde hace 40 años . . . No puedo decir que los guerreros, ya que no han tenido que hacer mucho si cualquier lucha. . . No puedo decir que los constructores porque todos ellos han muerto en el desierto. Asimismo, no hay constructores de barcos - que podrían haber sido útiles ya que se enfrentaba a cruzar el río Jordán . Entonces, ¿qué tiene de Josué?

Él tiene un pueblo que está llevando que realmente tiene solamente una característica de identificación . . . . siguientes Dios. Dios le dio nada más que un puñado de seguidores, que no sabían nada, sino a confiar en Dios para tod ; a creer en la palabra de Dios para ellos, y para actuar en consecuencia. Eso es todo lo que ellos sabían hacer.

Y eso es todo lo que Josué tenía que saber , creer y hacer.

Joshua - Es el momento de cruzar. . . Levántate cruz este Jordán !

La promesa de Dios :

Cada lugar que pisas Se lo he dado a ti (nótese que ya se realiza de acuerdo a Dios!) - Nadie te podrá hacer frente en todos los días de tu vida (¡GUAU te metes con Josué que se van a caer! ) -  yo estaré contigo , no te dejará ni te abandonará ( Recuerda cómo estuve con Moisés estaré contigo ... IMPRESIONANTE ! " deje ir a mi pueblo " ... "Ve aquí el brazo del Señor " ... y las partes del Mar Rojo - ¡ IMPRESIONANTE DE DIOS )

Sé fuerte y valiente . . .

La promesa de Dios:

A través de ustedes van a tomar posesión de la tierra

Solamente esfuérzate y sé muy valiente . . .

La promesa de Dios:

Usted tendrá éxito dondequiera que vayas si se tiene cuidado de hacer todo lo que yo te dije que hicieras, no girar a la derecha o a la izquierda de hacer la ley de Dios. - Va a hacer prosperar tu camino y tener éxito si se quiere meditar en la palabra de Dios día y noche, su ley para que su corazón está tan lleno de lo que su palabra, su amor se derrama de usted (" ... fuera de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca. Mateo 12:34 b).

Sé fuerte y valiente ! No temas ni te acobardes . . .

La promesa de Dios :
El Señor tu Dios estará contigo en dondequiera que vayas.

Cada vez que Dios le dice que vaya a alguna parte, hacer algo, siempre apoya sus planes !
Pues . . . .


Es el momento de cruzar !

Usted y yo no podemos acampar en este lado del Jordán, por el desierto. Él tiene mucho más para usted en la tierra que Él ha prometido! Levántate cruz este Jordán!

Dejar de mirar hacia atrás y dejar de mirar fijamente el problema. . . mirar hacia donde Él te está llevando . . . donde Él te está diciendo que vaya . . . Es TAN IMPRESIONANTE un lugar para su vida! Él está contigo, no te dejará ni te dejes! Sé fuerte y valiente! Usted será dueño de la promes ! Se comprenderá! Solamente esfuérzate y sé muy valiente! Ponga la palabra de Dios en ti! Léelo! Memorizarla! Pégalo en tu panel de control ! En el protector de la pantalla del ordenador! Habla de lo que Dios dice de ti y el nuevo lugar que te está guiando. Se adhieren a hacer sólo lo que Dios dice y viviendo sólo como Dios dice que vivir ! Al hacer esto usted hace su camino próspero y exitoso! Sé fuerte y valiente ! No temas ni te acobardes! Porque Jehová tu Dios estará contigo en dondequiera que vayas !

Yo sé lo que tengo que hacer. . . . Estoy fuera de mi trasero. . .

The purpose of THIS day . . .

This is the day that the Lord has made.  We will rejoice and be glad in it!

            Psalm 118:24 (Hebrew Names Version)

I was on the train this morning commuting into D.C.  With two hours to ride, I could not keep my eyes open, so as I thought that I would simply close them for a moment, with the idea that I would open them very shortly and get to work.  Instead I opened them right when the conductor announced that we would be arriving at Union Station soon.  But what I saw at that moment filled me with awe and amazement!  Upon opening them I saw the sun bursting through the clouds with this one thought bursting through the fog in my brain:

This is the day that the Lord has made.  We will rejoice and be glad in it!

This day was made by the Lord.  And for what purpose . . . that we would rejoice and be glad in it!  Seemed simple enough a thought, until I started wondering why the writer felt it necessary to tell us to rejoice and be glad.  It is not stated as an idea, like we may rejoice and be glad in it.  Instead it is stated as an imperative . . . as a command . . . we WILL rejoice and be glad in it.

It is the intention of the Lord, HIS purpose for our lives, that we rejoice in THIS day.  He made it for just that purpose!  So . . . if I refuse to rejoice and be glad in it I am going against God’s design for the day.  For some of us just knowing it is His will and we would be being disobedient if we don’t do it is enough for us to do whatever it is. But for some of us, me often included, just being told something to do, especially when we don’t feel it . . . well that just doesn’t cut it.  So for the rest of us who may need more, perhaps a look at the words may help.

Rejoice means to show great joy and delight.  It is a verb, meaning it is an action.  It comes from Anglo-French origin rejoir or to welcome and enjoy.  To welcome and enjoy.  Hmmm  And glad means to experience joy and pleasure.  Hmm

So . . .  plugging in the definition . . .

“This is the day that the Lord has made.  We will welcome it and enjoy it and experience joy and pleasure in it.”

What happened yesterday is yesterday.  Today is a new day. Your and my future is not created by what was done yesterday or even what we may think we will do tomorrow, but it is created by what we do today.  No matter how bad yesterday was; no matter what we have from yesterday which seems to be affecting today . . . today is a NEW day with a NEW opportunity to create a NEW life and a NEW future.  Is that not a reason to rejoice and be glad in it, to welcome and enjoy it and experience joy and pleasure in it?! 

And remember Rejoice is a verb.  Action is required.  So you were crying . . . start laughing.  So you did not do what you needed to do yesterday, you have today to do what you can do today.  So there was dancing yesterday and joy in the house, and today the sun rises on stillness and quiet . . . you have today to create new memories, to cherish the old and embrace the new; to build on the positive. Get to DOING the welcoming and enjoying of THIS day!

Come to think of it, I think God had something going on here when He created THIS day.  I think I like its purpose.  I think, NO I KNOW I will follow his command.  I welcome this day to enjoy all it has to offer.  I will be glad and take pleasure in it.  You do too.  God always has the right idea for our well being.

Prioritizing . . . a test of integrity

I am rushing out of the door today.  I am late.  Late to the gym.  Late to work.  Late to do the work I have on my plate.  Late to make meals.  Late to pay bills.  Late to mail packages.  Late to do school work. I am simply late. 

I began thinking just how busy I am.  I began to think of just how much I am missing.  I began thinking of how I am having to constantly make decisions as to what I will do and what I won't do.  I began thinking just how important everything seems to be to get done. 

So what do I do . . . I decided to stop and read God's word.  Why?  Because I need balance.  I need direction.  I need to be reminded as what is important, of indeed WHO is important.  I need to get back into right priority.

I open a bible and this is what leaps of the page.

"I know my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity."
1 Chronicles 29:17

Prioritizing was what was on my mind.  God shows me the integrity of my heart as the scale.  Into the context of my life for the day, he interjects a word which puts everything else into focus ' "integrity."

It is an odd place that this verse in the bible is found.  It is found right in the midst of David noting that all that they, the people, had brought to build the temple of God came from God.  Right in the middle of this discourse where he has noted that "Our days are like a shadow, without hope. . . " and where he has acknowledged "O Lord our God, as for all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name, it comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you." he follows up with

"I know my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity."

You and I are each busy taking all that God has given us to build a temple which is supposed to give glory to God.  One should be able to look at our lives and see the glory of the living God manifest in it.  Thus everything that I do today, everything that I have planned is part of that building process.  Including everything that I expend -- my energy, my resources, my everything -- came from Him to be given back to him.  It is with him that it all starts, is processed, and ends.  The heart of the matter is where He is in all of this.

The test of my heart . . . where is my integrity?

Focus to prioritize starts with focus on Him, His purpose, His direction, His plans for the building process.  Without Him in the center of my heart there is no integrity.  Without Him in the center of this building process there is no integrity.  Without Him in the center my priorities are off.

So, I stop and seek Him.  I center myself around His word.  I thank Him for the provision of the day . . . for the energy I will expend . . . for the time that will be used up . . . for the hope that will be realized . . . I allow Him to take a check of my integrity . . . I lay my life and plans out for the day and trust Him to do what He wants to do, whatever He wants to . . . See HE is God, not I.

You go do it too.

Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said:
“Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? 19 And as if this were not enough in your sight, Sovereign Lord, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant—and this decree, Sovereign Lord, is for a mere human.
The other morning I awoke singing the song “Sovereign” by John P. Kee. The ending of the chorus says: “God will do what He wants to, whatever He wants to. He is God!” I went to sleep the night before concerned about numerous issues that needed to be addressed. I woke up singing “Sovereign! God will do what He wants to, WHATEVER HE wants to. HE is God!”
I then went about my day. I missed my deadlines, but discovered that I had not missed God's. I was late to certain of my appointments, but was met by God at each place as apparently I was on time. I did not find what I expected to find when I got where I was on several occasions, but found at each place that He was already there and had done more than I had even hoped for or imagined. I worked when I was tired and found He had put strength in me that I did not know was there. When I lay done to sleep that night, I considered the heavens from where my help comes from . . . my help comes from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth. The SOVEREIGN Lord.
God will do what He wants to. Whatever He wants to. He is God.
David understood that nothing that had happened in His life had been outside of the Sovereign Lord's hands. He understood that he, David, deserved nothing of what was given, or any of the attention the Lord, the Sovereign Lord had paid to him. He knew from His life that God was indeed Sovereign for God had done what He, God, wanted to do. David understood that David's past, his present, and His future were all within the design of a Holy and Sovereign Lord. God had done what He wanted to do. God was doing what He wanted to do. God would do what He wants to do.
It is the same for you and I. God is Sovereign.
In understanding and embracing within our very core the sovereignty of God in our lives we begin to see things differently. What did I miss today? Okay, did I really miss out on something? Think about it, what event or occurrence in my life today God will not use as HE wants to? Nothing. He has a purpose and design for each of us and His purpose will not be defeated. When we came to Christ we became a new creature with a sure bright future. A future which brings praise and glory to the Heavenly Father. Everything the Lord touches gives evidence of the glory of the Lord in its design, purpose and fulfillment. He is Sovereign. Relax in His soverignty.
God will do what He wants to. Whatever He wants to. He is God.

Dios hará lo que quiere. Todo lo que quiera. Es Dios! . . . .

2 Samuel 7:18-19
Entonces el rey David entró y se sentó antes del Señor, y dijo:
“¿Quiénes somos yo, Soberano Señor, y cuál es mi familia, que me ha traído esto lejos? 19 Y como si esto no estaba bastante en su vista, Soberano Señor, también ha hablado sobre el futuro de la casa de su criado — y este decreto, Soberano Señor, es para un mero humano.

La otra mañana desperté el canto de la canción "Soberano" por John P. Kee. El final del coro dice: “Dios hará lo que quiere, todo lo que quiera. ¡Es Dios! ” Fui para dormir la noche antes no referido por numerosas cuestiones que se tenían que dirigir. Desperté al “¡Soberano cantante! Dios hará lo que quiere, TODO LO QUE quiera. ¡Es Dios! ”

Entonces fui sobre mi día. Perdí mis fechas límites, pero descubrí que no había echado de menos a Dios. Llegué tarde a ciertas de mis citas, pero me encontré por dios en cada lugar como por lo visto era a tiempo. No encontré lo que esperé encontrar cuando me puse donde estaba en varias ocasiones, pero encontré en cada lugar que estaba ya allí y había hecho más que había esperado hasta o había imaginado. Trabajé cuando era cansado y encontré que había puesto la fuerza en mí que no sabía(no conocía) estaba allí. Cuando estoy hecho para dormir esa noche, consideré el cielo de donde mi ayuda viene de... mi ayuda viene del Señor que hizo el cielo y la tierra. El SOBERANO Señor.



Dios hará lo que quiere. Todo lo que quiera. Es Dios.

David entendió que nada que hubiera pasado en Su vida había sido fuera de las manos del Señor del Soberano. Entendió que él, David, no mereció nada de que dieron, o cualquiera de la atención el Señor, el Soberano que el Señor había pagado a él. Sabía de Su vida que Dios en efecto era Soberano para Dios había hecho lo que Él, Dios, quiso hacer. David entendió que el pasado de David, su presente(regalo) y Su futuro eran todos dentro del diseño de un Santo y Soberano Señor. Dios había hecho lo que quiso hacer. Dios estaba haciendo lo que quería hacer. Dios haría lo que quiere hacer.



Es lo mismo que tú y yo. Dios es soberano.



En comprender y aceptar dentro de nuestra esencia la soberanía de Dios en nuestras vidas, comenzamos a ver las cosas de manera diferente. ¿Qué me perdí hoy? Bien, ¿yo realmente pierda en algo? Piénsalo, qué evento o acontecimiento en mi vida hoy Dios no usará como él quiere. No hay nada. Él tiene un propósito y diseño para cada uno de nosotros y su propósito no será derrotado. Cuando venimos a Cristo nos convertimos en una nueva criatura con un futuro seguro. Un futuro que trae alabanza y gloria al padre celestial. Todo lo que el señor toca da evidencia de la gloria de Jehová en su diseño, propósito y cumplimiento. Él es soberano. Relájese en su soberanía.



Dios hará lo que él quiere. Lo que quiere. Él es Dios.
¿Entiendo? ¿Tienes LA palabra? Bueno, luego vivirlo.

Bind up the testimony . . .

The Lord spoke to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people. He said:

Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.

The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread, and he will be a sanctuary; . . .

Bind up the testimony and seal up the law among my disciples. I will wait for the Lord who is hiding his face from Jacob. I will put my trust in him.

Isaiah 8:11-14, 16-17

The only time you saw instructions given to a prophet made public was when it fulfilled a purpose in the ears of the people hearing it. Here we see the instructions given to Isaiah told to all. And the context was the time that Isaiah was telling the people that Assyria was going to come and rescue those who remained true to God; God's people. Why?

At this point you are probably asking, “Pastor this is not how you normally start. I am already getting lost already. What is this important to me?”

This morning God knew that I was concerned as to to what He is about to do. He knew that I was asking what do I do in the midst of this great deliverance and great retribution from Him. I was concerned as to how to stand in the midst of all the fear and the talk that characterized what was going on as a trap or conspiracy. He knew I was concerned as to whether what He said would be accomplished by doing what He said would really happen. I was concerned about having given my word based upon what He said His word was for me. Do you understand?

See when I believe God has said something that is to come I oftentimes am led to speak it to others. If you go to the beginning of this chapter you will see that Isaiah was told to write down what God was saying was about to happen and to have two trustworthy persons witness it. Similar events have happened in my life.

When I met Momma P in 1980 I told my roommate I just met the woman I am to marry. I wrote on my application for dormitory director in 1983 that in 3 years I intended to be married to her. The reality though was far from the prophetic word. In 1980 she would not date me. In 1984 she had moved away to Dallas and we spoke very little. We had never kissed, held hands, or looked into each others eyes filled with love. But in October of 1985 I proposed after a 7 day fast and prayer, with her later accepting per the instruction of the Lord saying: “I do not love you, but the Lord said to marry you so I am.” God then went about creating that love within each of us so that when we walked down the aisle on July 19, 1986 as husband and wife we truly loved each other – Six years after God spoke it to me, three years after it was prophetically written down on an application at Baylor University.

And so I stand in a similar place again. I know what I believe God has said He will do. I know what is required of me to do. Like in other times God has required me to speak it, to write it, to live it. And yet, I look around me and I hear the cries that I am being entrapped. I hear the fear that it will not do what He said it will do. I see no evidence of the change that is promised to occur in the hearts of those involved. Indeed I see where they think it is truly themselves that are orchestrating the events. In this environment, to this situation, to my heart, with His hand strongly upon me, He speaks this word.

Do not agree with those around me who only hear and see the trap. Do not fear them. Fear Him and Him alone. Make God the one that you run to. Make God the one that you hide yourself in. Make His Word your confidence. Trust in Him. Trust in the Holy One of Israel.

“Bind up the testimony and seal up the law among my disciples . . .”

Tell His people what is to come. Do not let go what God has said is in the midst of His people. Do not give in but proclaim it out loud among His disciples. Let God's people know it is to occur.

So you don't see God's hand acting right now on what He has said to you . . . Well don't be surprised do the act of waiting on Him.

“ I will wait for the Lord who is hiding his face from Jacob.”

And while you are waiting:

“I will put my trust in him.”

1980 – we met, and God spoke. 1983 – I proclaimed and bound up the testimony and the law. 1986 – we were married, God's word was made manifest in the reality on this earth. Last night I looked at the lack of evidence and cried. This morning I reminded myself of the Word given me. With this Word from the Lord, I renewed my strength in Him. Later I will rejoice.

These instructions to you and I were when lived out benefit not only you and I but all of God's people and others. You have a word from the Lord? Stand on it. Proclaim it to God's people. Trust in Him and Him alone. Renew your faith in the Lord. See it come to pass.

Guarda bien el testimonio . . .

El Señor me habló fuertemente y me advirtió que no seguiera el camino de este pueblo. Me dijo:

No digan ustedes que es conspiración todo lo que llama conspiración; ni teman lo que ellos temen, y no ni se dejen asustar.
Soló al Señor Todopoderoso tendran ustedes por santo, soló a él deben honrarlo, soló él han de temerlo. El eSeñor será un santuario. . . .

Guarda bien el testimonio; sella la ley entre mis discípulos. El Señor ha escondido su rostro del pureblo de Jacob, pero yo esperaré en él, pues en él puesta mi esperanza.

Isaías 8:11-14, 16-17

La única vez que vio a las instrucciones dadas a un profeta hizo público fue cuando se cumplió un propósito en los oídos de las personas que oyen la misma. Aquí vemos las instrucciones dadas a Isaías le dijo a todos. Y el contexto era el tiempo que Isaías estaba diciendo a la gente que Asiria iba a venir y rescatar a aquellos que permanecieron fieles a Dios, el pueblo de Dios. ¿Por qué?

En este tiempo usted probablemente se estará preguntando: "Pastor no es así como lo hace normalmente inicia. Estoy consiguiendo ya perdido. ¿Qué importancia tiene esto para mí? "

Esta mañana, Dios sabía que yo estaba interesado en saber lo que Él está a punto de hacer. Él sabía que yo estaba preguntando qué hago en medio de esta gran liberación y gran retribución de él. Yo estaba preocupado sobre la manera de estar en medio de todo el miedo y la charla que caracteriza lo que estaba pasando como una trampa o conspiración. Él sabía que yo estaba interesado en saber si lo que dijo se logra haciendo lo que dijo realmente iba a suceder. Yo estaba preocupado por haber dado mi palabra en base a lo que dijo su palabra era para mí. ¿Lo entiendes?

Cuando yo creo que Dios ha dicho algo que está por venir muchas veces me veo llevado a hablar a los demás. Si usted va al principio de este capítulo veremos que Isaías le dijo que escribir lo que Dios estaba diciendo que iba a ocurrir y tener dos personas de confianza presenciarlo. Eventos similares han ocurrido en mi vida.

Cuando conocí a Momma P en 1980 le dije a mi compañero de cuarto que acabo de conocer a la mujer que soy casarse. Yo escribí en mi solicitud para el director dormitorio en 1983 que en 3 años tenía la intención de casarse con ella. La realidad, sin embargo estaba lejos de la palabra profética. En 1980, ella no me salí. En 1984 se había mudado a Dallas y hablamos muy poco. Nunca nos habíamos besado, cogidos de la mano, o miraba a los ojos llenos de amor. Pero en octubre de 1985 le propuse después de un ayuno de siete días y la oración, con su posterior aceptación por la instrucción del Señor que decía: "Yo no te quiero, pero el Señor le dijo a casarme contigo porque lo soy." Entonces Dios anduvo la creación de ese amor dentro de cada uno de nosotros para que cuando caminaba por el pasillo el 19 de julio de 1986 como marido y mujer que verdaderamente amaban - Seis años después de que Dios me habló, tres años después de ser escrito proféticamente hacia abajo en una aplicación en la Universidad de Baylor.

Y así me encuentro en un lugar similar otra vez. Yo sé lo que creo que Dios ha dicho que hará. Sé lo que se espera de mí. Al igual que en otras ocasiones Dios me ha requerido para hablar, para escribir, para vivir. Y, sin embargo, miro a mi alrededor y escucho los gritos que me están atrapados. Oigo el temor de que no va a hacer lo que Él dice que hará. No veo ninguna evidencia de que el cambio que se ha prometido que se produzca en los corazones de las personas involucradas.
